Afternoon Tea at The Savoy Hotel London

To celebrate our second anniversary [ wow, how is it two years already?], I was treated to an afternoon tea by the boyfriend at The Savoy Hotel in London on Tuesday. I love afternoon Teas as you can probably tell by here and here. I love the opportunity to put on my best frock, drink champagne, have some fancy tea, all the sweets and pastries in the world, enjoy some tasty sandwiches and oh, those lovely and warm freshly baked scones. We booked the last sitting which was around 6pm so we had all the time to chat, socialise and enjoy the live music [ no dancing though ] without feeling rushed.

The afternoon tea session was a delight, the service was impeccable as you’d expect from a luxury establishment such as The Savoy. I’d couldn’t stop looking at the stylish decor as I slowly sipped my tea whilst listening to the beautiful live music. It wasn’t busy either so we could actually have  a conversation without shouting on top our voices. The staff were super lovely and even gave us a  complimentary cake to mark the occasion. How sweet [ no pun intended ].

For the [ unknown to me ] occasion, I wore my favourite red dress – The Coast Sandrina which I happened to have worn exactly two years ago when we did this shoot in Barcelona. I had no idea where we were going that evening as it was a surprise so I opted for a dress that was suitable for all occasions. My plan was to keep my coat on if I happened to be overdressed but he knows me too well, He knew I’d come ready and prepared. Even though I was told of the whereabouts of the location last minute, I happened to pack the right outfit which fit the occasion perfectly and oh, Thank God the dress still fits.

For shoes, it was a no brainer for me. I have been waiting and waiting for a time to wear this Kurt Geiger Simone heels. I’ve had them since december and finally got to wear them last week. It fits the theme and matches the huge bow at the back of my dress too. I wore this with my red small box bag which carried all the bare necessities and more.

What I’m Wearing:

___

Dress : Coast – Sandrina [ old ] love this with a black bow

Shoes: Kurt Geiger – Simone [ sold out ] similar here

Bag: Zara

Coat: Zara

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, they were shot in low light at night. Hope you enjoyed this post and if you’re looking for places to visit for Afternoon Tea, make sure The Savoy is your on list. This post is not sponsored. Just had a lovely time and highly recommend it.

Happy New Week.
