DECIEM The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Review

Deciem The Ordinary Skincare Rose Hip Seed Oil Review

Are you even following a proper skin care regime if it does not include any sort of facial oils? For years, we’ve been advised over and over again by beauty gurus and fashion magazines not to skip using oils after you’ve (double) cleansed, toned and moisturised your skin. There are those who swear by using oils and are seen doing their routine without it – am or pm. And there are those who won’t even think of it let alone consider slapping on some greasy thick oil on their face that’s possibly going to stain their pillow case. I was that type before I discovered the benefits facial oils can produce for the skin when use regularly as part of a skin care routine.

The Ordinary Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed oil is the second oil I’ve used since I started using oils. I really didn’t need this specific oil as the one I was using was and is still just as good and I had no issues with but when you’re a beauty blogger, you get influenced so easily about products that are receiving much hype and everyone and their grandma are talking about it. You can’t help yourself but jump on board too.

Deciem The Ordinary Skincare Rose Hip Seed Oil Review

This oil is a pure blend of cold-pressed and organic which hydrates and supports a healthy skin. It is rich in Vitamins, Anti-oxidants and Essential Fatty Acids. It is also anti- inflammatory and has regenerative properties. This silky oil can calm redness, hydrate dry skins, treat scars and burns, brightens the skin and regenerate damage tissues. All of this sounds fantastic and therefore one would hope whatever is in this dark brown glass bottle will help cure any skin imperfections, after all, its costs only £9 for its 30ml content compared to other [ high-end ] brands on the market. This is possibly the cheapest and by the numerous positives reviews out there, one would be mad not to give this a try.

This didn’t WOW me possibly because I have been using oils prior and there wasn’t any major skin issues that I needed this oil to fix. I did love the dewy morning glow it gave but that was it. Not a  massive fan of the scent either, reminds of cooking oil e.g. olive oil and found it too heavy on my skin even though it absorbs quickly into the skin. Even with just two tiny drops, I found it to much in the warmer months so I skipped this and reached for my Body Shop Vitamin E Serum-in-Oil  – which is much lighter in weight. I have reserved the Rose Hip for use in the coming winter months when I will need all the hydration one can get.

If you’re not using any oils as part of your skin care regime or you’re looking for one, or even one with a drugstore/ budget friendly price tag. I’ll recommend to start with this. If you’re already using oils, you can give this one a miss, I’m pretty sure the one you’re using is just as good.

Have you tried this oil before? Did you love it? Let me know in the comment box below.

Verse Of The Day:-

One thing I have asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord of the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.

– Psalms 27:4 [ ESV]
