Lancôme L’absolu Rouge Lipstick – 253 Brun Evasion

Happy New Month Guys 🙂

Is it Spring time yet? February means Spring right? Only asking because I’ve gone and snapped myself a new lippie [ are you even surprised? ] perfect for spring time. If you are an avid reader of my blog [ welcome back ] you’d know by now that I’m a lipstick junkie and if you’re not [hello and welcome to my blog. My name is YaaLia and I’m a lipstick junkie * swipes on lipstick * ]. My once small collection of 3 Mac lipsticks have rapidly grown and I’m starting to run out of storage space so you’d think I’d stop buying some more. Oh no, Lancôme L’absolu Rouge lipsticks were on sale on boxing day [ see what else I bought in this video ] for £11.20 down from its original price of £25 soooo… need I say more? *raised eyebrows*

The packaging of this looks quiet peculiar and yet very sleek and stylish. It has a curved tip on the cap and magnetic tabs on the bottom of the gold lipstick bullet which clicks in place so easily.

I picked up the shade 253 Brun Evasion, the only shade I took a fancy to.  Just as the name slightly hints, this is a pinky-mauvey type of shade with brown undertones. The texture is a creamy hydrating formula that is packed with colour at the first swipe. Glides on smoothly and effortlessly. It has the renowned Lancôme rose scent which takes me back to my 15 year old self, reminding me of my first lipstick I got as a thank you from my work experience at my local drugstore back in Austria many moons ago. I believe the brand was either Astor or Manhattan. Can’t remember the colour but my guess would be something similar to this. The obsession with red lipsticks hadn’t began until my mid 20s.

The colour on me is not exactly nude at all. The mauve-y/dusty rose pink hints shows up more but to give it a completely nude feel, I’ve been wearing my Fenty Gloss Bomb lipgloss on top, which pairs perfectly well with this shade. The staying power of this is long-wearing too and I have been wearing it everyday this week as my way of welcoming/looking forward to spring time.

What’s your favourite nude or spring lipstick colour?
