Travel: 24hrs in Dallas, Texas

Here’s what I got up to whilst down route in Dallas. Wasn’t there for holiday but rather a day off abroad as I was working on the flight there and back for those who don’t know.

Ps: I didn’t intend on writing a blog post about this trip so sorry about the bad quality iPhone pictures.

I was very tired upon arrival but still managed to pop out for some dinner with my colleagues before bedtime.

We went to TallyWackers – male version of Hooters. It wasn’t my idea before you get a shock of your life..LOL. It was a very interesting place and the food was great too. I ordered thier S & M Burger with fries which was superb.

After dinner, we kinda faked one of our colleagues  birthday so we got a free chocolate cake to share and err fancy picture with the topless lads just to embarrass her  even more. It was straight to bed after the meal and off to dreamland.

The next morning, I received a phone call from one of my cousins who I tried to get hold of the night before. We arranged to meet up after breakfast and drive to Arlington(40mins away) to meet the rest of my long lost cousins and my grandma- who I hadn’t seen since I was 2years old. So excited and couldn’t wait to meet them all.

I spotted the Six Flags Theme Park on our way and wished there was plenty of time  spare to go on some of their thrilling rides.  It was located literally 15mins drive away from where my cousins lived.

We had a little family reunion at the SaltGrass Restaurant in Irvin where I tried some BBQ ribs for lunch.

There was no way I was going to leave Texas without having a taste of this.  We had a long chit chat session before I was dropped back to the hotel to get ready to operate the flight back to London.

I’m still in recovery mode 2 days later but this picture makes everything worth the while.

Thank you guys so much for making my very short trip a lot more than I imagined.
